Ashley Holzer & Hansel Win Global Dressage Festival Developing Prix St. Georges For 2nd Horse in Fut

WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 21, 2021–Ashley Holzer rode Hansel to victory in the Global Dressage Festival developing Prix St. Georges Future Challenge Sunday in only the second competition for the eight-year-old KWPN stallion. Catherine Haddad-Staller on Gorgeous earned a start in the Lövsta Future Challenge for developing Grand Prix.

Ashley of Wellington and Hansel (Don Olymbrio x Metall) was awarded 72.940% in the first competition since their debut at national third level last June. The horse is owned by P.J. Rizvi, who also owns Breaking Dawn that Ashley competed at the 2012 London Olympics.

Jessica Jo Tate of Wellington on Romeo placed second on 69.779% to also qualify for the final the last week of the 2021 winter-long Global circuit at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Ashley qualified Bliss, a nine-year-old Oldenburg mare (Bordeaux x Likoto), for the St. Georges final earlier in the circuit. She owns Bliss with Diane Fellows.

Catherine Haddad Staller and Gorgeous scored 68.749% at Intermediate II to qualify for the season-ending developing Grand Prix final. The 10-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding (Charmeur x Special D) is owned by Barbie Asplundh.
